HPEVS CAN-OP ELECTRICAL SCHEMATICS
Utilizing a CANBUS Isolator is needed to isolate the electric drive system CAN from the vehicles 12 volt. The isolator is needed for Curtis 1232, 1234, 1236 and 1238 "E" motor controllers; THIS IS NOT NEEDED FOR THE 1239 "E" controllers. Failing to isolate the two CANBUS circuits can result in overloading and blowing the CANBUS ciruit in all CANBUS nodes on the electric motor drive system side. The isolator is sold by Advantech and by Mouser Electronics
